trained. They share a common philosophy radiating warmth, skill and dedication to the Montessori
education experience.
-
Teacher Assistants receive
Montessori Assistant training.
-
The curriculum includes the
well-established basic areas of a Montessori education: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Science,
Geography and Art.
-
French is offered as a foreign
language to full day Primary students through the fifth grade.
-
Our students experience community
service through participation of teacher and student planned projects throughout
the year.
-
A music program based on the Carl
Orff method is experienced by all of our children.
-
Each classroom includes a
three-year age span of students (three years to six years in primary; six year
to nine years in the Elementary I, and nine years
to twelve years in the Elementary II). The mixed age grouping allows the students to have the ability to work
at different academic levels and to be mentors in addition to being students. They move from the youngest
child in the class to the oldest, which offers developmental opportunities in
itself.
-
We are concerned with the total
growth of the child. Our learning experiences promote the child’s social,
intellectual, emotional and physical growth.
